A master mimic of over 200 voices, Little continues to impress nationally and internationally. With his colorful caravan of impressions, Little has made a career of charming, amusing, lampooning, and often annoying those he has imitated. A tireless performer, Little is currently preparing his one-man show for Broadway entitled The Presidents, a two-hour comedy drama. John F. Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, and Bill Clinton - Rich Little has an impression of each of them.
A professed classic movie buff, Little is known for his uncanny impressions of such favorites as Jimmy Stewart, George Burns, and Cary Grant. His recent favorites include Arnold Schwarzenegger, Clint Eastwood, Jack Nicholson, and Elton John, who he claims are easy to do because they are "larger than life."
Little says, "An impression is what you think a person sounds like. It could be an exaggeration or a cartoon. I think of an impersonation as more of an exact copy. Knowing the person personally is not important, it's knowing the speech patterns and mannerisms (in order) to imitate the person the way the public sees him." It took him seven years to perfect Frank Sinatra and several minutes to mimic Dr. Ruth.
