Danny D is the most realistic Rod Stewart impersonator in the industry today. This claim is not without a reason to believe: 2011 CIC Las Vegas Reel Award Winner- Best Tribute Band, and the 2012 Winner of Real Detroit Weekly's Best Tribute Artist. True blue. Whether you are a fan of the classic Rod or the new Rod, Danny D does it all and leaves the audience begging for more—just like a Rod Stewart Tour show.

Rod Stewart and his lyrics have always influenced Danny D. His voice and appearance are so uncannily similar to Rod Stewart's that impersonating him comes naturally. When Danny D is on stage, he takes on Stewart's moves, voice and accent.

Danny D has been the only Rod Stewart impersonator to ever be pulled up on stage by Rod Stewart on tour—to close the show with Do You Think I'm Sexy? to a sold-out, wildly cheering crowd at DTE Energy Music Theatre (Pine Knob) in Clarkston, MI.

Danny D's music has been a vital outlet for his personal expression since age seven, when he was diagnosed with Tourette's syndrome, which is characterized by involuntary movements and vocalizations. It's like having someone else in your body doing these things and you can't control it, explains Danny. Danny D's singing and performing became more important when he noticed how his symptoms decreased dramatically, or did not appear at all. He became even more determined to be successful and to become the best musician he could be by taking piano and vocal lessons, music theory, and writing and recording his own songs.

Danny D has opened for some very big name artists such as: Mitch Ryder, David Lee Roth, Bad Company, The Tubes, Air Supply, and for The Romantics. Further, for the past five years DannyD has made it a Thanksgiving tradition opening for Detroit's own Uncle Kracker at the Emerald Theatre.
