Bobby Collins

Biography

Never at a loss for words, Bobby began his career in show business at the ripe young age of 25. As a Vice President of Calvin Klein Junior Division, he decided once and for all to pursue his dream of entering the world of entertainment. This New York native has been charming audiences (some over 35,000) nationwide with his own brand of emotional and physical humor. Bobby's routine consists of a series of monologues derived from everyday life, placing public figures, friends, and family members, but mainly himself, as the punchline.

Chosen personally by Rosie O'Donnell to replace her as the host of VH-1's hit series, Stand-Up Spotlight, Collins has grabbed the ball and run with it, receiving rave reviews and a Cable ACE award nomination within the first year. Collins is once again in the spotlight with the release of a live comedy album Bobby Collins: On The Inside.

Bobby has opened for entertainers such as Julio Iglasias, Frank Sinatra, Dolly Parton, The Pointer Sisters, and The Everly Brothers, rising through the ranks to become a headliner in Las Vegas and Atlantic City. He sells out concert halls and clubs in cities across the country. Collins has guest-starred in several television series, including L.A. Law, Sisters, and Herman's Head. He has also been featured on Showtime's A Pair of Jokers and has hosted A&E's Evening at the Improv.

Collins is the only celebrity spokesperson who has appeared in two national ad campaigns for CERTS breath mints. His film credits include Indecent Proposal, Hero, and Car 54...Where Are You?.

The 90's could be the decade for Bobby Collins whose time has finally arrived. And knowing that big things could be in his future, Bobby still remembers to always live by his motto - "lighten up, love, laugh, and love." Wouldn't it be great if everyone lived by that?
